Numerical Simulation of Single-Point Mount PZT-Interface for Admittance-Based Anchor Force Monitoring

This study investigates the dynamic characteristics of a smart PZT interface mounted on prestressed anchorage to verify numerical feasibility admittance-based anchor force monitoring technique. Firstly, technique through single-mount is outlined. The admittance response interface-anchorage system theoretically derived show proof-of-concept for monitoring. Secondly, finite element model corresponding well-established experimental in literature constructed. effect equivalently treated by contact stiffness and damping parameters at bottom surface anchorage. Thirdly, impedance responses are numerically analyzed compared with data evaluate accuracy modelling Fourthly, local dynamics modal analysis determine vibration modes that sensitive change (i.e., representing force).
